Description
This is a reduction linocut print of a Lancashire hall farm, a wintry scene entitled ‘But let the months go round’. The title is derived from William Cowper’s ‘The Task -The Winter walk at noon’, evoking Winter with the promise of Spring.
This print is limited to an edition of 12, and this framed piece is number 6 in the edition.
This print was born in the lens of photographer friend Brian Heys, and developed into an even more wintry scene, with different colours and feel to the view. The house depicted is Hammerton Hall in Gisburn Forest, Lancashire.
There are at least ten ink layers in this reduction print, possibly more – I eventually lost count as the image became a more painterly exercise in mood and tone.
The image is printed on A3 size 130gsm off-white cartridge paper. The image area dimensions are roughly 306mm x 204 mm.
The solid wood, glazed frame is roughly 455mm x 350mm and approximately 22m deep. The print is mounted in Antique White mount board.
Delivery is included in the purchase price.
