Red Devil’s Den – Ancient Wiltshire burial chamber limited edition woodcut print on Khadi Paper

Description

This is a woodcut print in a mid-deep red colour showing the Devil’s Den dolmen (burial chamber) on Fyfield Down in Wiltshire, not far from the Avebury complex of stone circles, avenues and mounds. The edition is limited to only 8 prints.

The print was made in September 2023 using Japanese birch ply and professional quality oil-based relief printing ink. Available on two kinds of paper for different kinds of display. This is the highly-textured Khadi paper version is ideal for suspension from a peg line or other kinds of non-frame display. An alternate 130gsm smooth paper version is available, ideal for mounting and framing behind glass.

Note: Khadi papers are handmade in India from 100% long fibred cotton rag. As you can see from the photographs each sheet is uniquely shaped and textured. Sheets may contain small flecks of different colours, differences in shape, surface undulation and thickness. I choose sheets that are as far as possible blemish free, but always unique. Please bear this in mind when ordering.

Postage and packaging are included in the price, and the print will be sent rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube.
