Avebury in Snow – Limited Edition Christmas linocut print – Keeper card

Description

This limited edition, two colour reduction lino print shows stones and trees from the famous Avebury Stone Circle’s SE quadrant, with Waden Hill beyond – Inspired by my recent trips to Wiltshire’s largest henge monument and the Marlborough Downs.

This print is on 6 3/4″ heavyweight card, and is a ‘Keeper’ Christmas card – an original handmade artwork that just happens to be a Christmas card you can gift to a loved one. The artwork is supplied with a white envelope for mailing or hand-delivery and after display over Christmas can then be mounted, framed and displayed as desired. Inside the card I have printed ‘Merry Christmas’, in a festive red.

The edition is limited to 10 prints, and is supplied without mount or frame. Each print is numbered, titled ‘Avebury in Snow’, signed and dated by the artist on the reverse of the printed image.

The print is produced using professional oil-based relief printing ink.

Print material choices are designed to produce a long-lasting, high-quality print with a small environmental footprint. All my prints are created using a small press with some hand finishing.

As with all relief printing, variation in appearance, edge impression and texture is a natural part of the hand-finished lino print process.
